Drive - Time packages

This illustrates the optional times represented by most road users driving patterns, during which  campaign options can be executed. The ability to select the appropriate drive time package, vehicle category, colour, fleet size, driver profile and route/s is what sets this marketing concept apart from the rest.

  • Run-About Drive time            -  Monday to Friday 6.30am - 8.30am and Noon - 3pm
  • Peak Drive time                   -   Monday to Friday 6am - 9am and 4pm - 7pm
  • Maximum Drive time            -   Monday to Friday 6am - 7pm
  • Weekend-Combo Drive time -   Monday to Friday 6am - 9am and 4pm - 7pm PLUS weekends between 8am - 2am

Routes

Different routes have been identified in all major business districts to enable an advertiser (sponsor) to select the most appropriate route/s for their campaign. The following elements are considered when determining routes:

  • Major routes - Gauteng  e.g.  N12 ; M1 ; M2 ; N1 ; N3 ; R21   etc....
  • Suburban routes  e.g  William Nicol ; Beyers Naude ; Sandton Drive ; Rivonia Rd   etc....
  • Busy intersections
  • Slower moving traffic
  • High speed traffic
  • Traffic volumes
  • Traffic - peaks and troughs
  • Parkades
  • Airports
  • Schools
  • Stadiums
  • Shopping Malls
  • Leisure facilities
  • Casinos
  • Commercial office parks
  • Industrial sites

Vehicle Categories

The following vehicle classification grid has been used to categorize the drivers’ vehicles. This is an example. Many other vehicle brands are included

Class Exotic   - Ferrari - Lamborghini - Porsche etc..

    Class A - Mercedes-BMW-AUDI-VOLVO-LEXUS  etc...(executive ranges including SUV's)

    Class B - Mercedes-BMW-AUDI-MINI-VW GOLF-TOYOTA  etc...(non exec. incl. MPV‘s and SUV's)

    Class C - Mazda 2-Opel Corsa-Ford Fiesta-VW Polo-TOYOTA Yaris/Auris  etc…(economy class)

    Class D - Commercial - Panel vans-LDV’s-Trucks-Busses

    Note:

The grid is more comprehensive than listed above.

Only Exotic vehicles and Class D (Trucks & Busses) attract  premium sponsorship rates ( info on request )

    General

These selection criteria enables a sponsor to select a vehicle category (suitable brand/s) colour and fleet size with the preferred gender drivers, that travel specific routes, who could attract the interest of a specific target audience en-route .....

e.g a REVLON campaign, depending on product, might be better suited to a red, black or white category A or B type vehicle driven by a LADY (age profiled) on a route (e.g Sandton Dr/Rivonia Rd) populated by the appropriate socio-economic target audience. Campaign objectives will determine whether magnetic car signs, wrap signs, rear window - contravision signs or mirror socks are used.

Some campaigns may have a different target audience appeal e.g. Dunlop or FNB, where the selection options of vehicle, gender and age of driver, could be more diverse when considering the campaign's fleet requirements.

Localized campaigns including services available from electricians, plumbers, food franchises etc.. could be facilitated by a cross section of localised vehicle and driver classifications.
