What does it cost to apply or register ?
There is no charge but to apply you must complete the form on the Sponsorship Application page.
Can anyone apply for a sponsorship ?
Yes, as long as you are in posession of a valid drivers license or learners license and own or drive a roadworthy vehicle manufactured after the year 2000.
How do i qualify for a sponsorship ?
You must complete the preliminary sponsorship application form on the Sponsorship Application page in full. If selected we will let you know via e.mail or SMS.
What do i have to do to receive a sponsorship ?
Once accepted, you have to carry signage on your vehicle for a specific period outlined in the campaign brief which will be discussed with you. You have to drive as normal, on the routes that you typically travel on during a normal month and ensure that the distance travelled in a normal month is the same as or similar to that stipulated in your sponsorship application.
If the vehicle i drive does not belong to me, do i need the permission of the vehicle owner ?
Yes
Must the vehicle be insured, roadworthy and registered ?
Yes
Must the signage be kept on the vehicle for the duration of the campaign ?
Yes because the advertiser is paying you a sponsorship fee to receive exposure on the route/s that you travel.
How can i increase the value of my mobiAD sponsorship ?
Start telling your friends about mobiAD and if they apply and are accepted you will receive a sponsorship referral fee for all the campaigns they are involved in as well. So the more drivers you tell about it, the greater the potential of your referral sponsorship fees. Then participate in campaigns offered to you. Remember the more space you allow for signage the more you earn. Lastly, some campaigns may include SMS competitions. The signage on your vehicle will include the SMS number and prize. You could receive a percentage of the revenue generated by the SMS campaign.
What happens if my driver's license or vehicle license expires ?
You must notify mobiAD immediately and you will not be able to participate in further campaigns yourself until the license is renewed BUT you can still earn referral sponsorship fees.
If i have had accidents previously, will it affect my sponsorship application ?
No, unless the accident/s were your fault due to wreckless driving, speeding or substance abuse.
If my license was previously suspended, will i be able to participate ?
No.
If i have a history of speeding fines, will my application be considered ?
Most people exceed the speed limit from time to time but if your driving record reveals excessive fines for speeding or wreckless driving then your application will be declined.
What if the vehicle i drive has body damage, engine damage or excessive scratches ?
You will not be able to participate in campaigns until the vehicle is repaired to the satisfaction of our installers.
What is the minimum acceptable distance travelled in a month to be considered for a sponsorship ?
Ideally more than 500km per month, however you could drive a shorter distance monthly on a very busy highway or main road to and from work where a campaign might be very effective on your vehicle, so don't worry, send in your application anyway and we will let you know.
How would you determine if i am a suitable driver for campaigns ?
We would consider many factors - type of vehicle, colour, condition, your personal driver profile including age, sex, routes, distance you travel, your typical travel times as well as your driving profile -where we require your permission to validate insurance details and traffic offences. To match you to a specific campaign, we would match the above with the advertisers brief to ensure that you would be the ideal brand ambassador for the client.
Are the signs sprayed onto my vehicle ?
Absolutely not.
What type of signage is used ?
Signage could comprise of magnetic signs, mirror socks, rear window signs, or half or full body wraps which is a thin graphic vinyl usually covered with a clear vinyl laminate. All the signs are easily removable. mobiAD does not make use of any paint products because they are not removable and would disfigure the vehicle. You can decide what type of signage you are comfortable with when you apply and you could also decline a campaign offered to you.
Who applies and removes the signage ?
Besides magnetic signs and mirror socks, which you will place and remove yourself, wrap signs must be applied and removed by qualified detailers, which we arrange and pay for. You will need a lift while they are busy.
If my sponsorship application is accepted, how long will my vehicle be registered with mobiAD ?
It is registered for an exclusive agreed period of 18 months during which time you are able to earn sponsorship fees and referral sponsorship fees from campaigns invloving you and /or your friends.
What happens if i want to trade, sell or swop my vehicle during this time ?
You may do so, it is your vehicle, but we need 30 days notice (e.mail) from you so that we do not book that vehicle for campaigns. As soon as you get a replacement vehicle you can start to participate in campaigns again but as mentioned already you will still receive your referral sponsorship fees. If offered a campaign, please let us know if you intend to trade, sell or swop your vehicle during the proposed campaign period.
What happens at the end of the 18 month period ?
You will automatically operate on a month to month basis. If you no longer wanted to participate in campaigns you would need to give us one calendar month notice (e.mail) to withdraw your vehicle from the fleet.
What happens to my referral sponsorship fees if i withdraw my vehicle from the fleet ?
Your referral sponsorship fees will continue to be paid until the friends you referred withdraw their vehicles from the fleet.
What must i do if my vehicle suffers body damage, engine damage, is stolen, impounded or reposessed during a campaign ?
Please notify mobiAD immediately.
When do i get paid my monthly sponsorship fee ?
Once a month mobiAD needs to validate the distance travelled and the condition of the signage with the advertiser, so mobiAD makes use of inspection methods, convenient to you, to satisfy the client. Once we receive the approved report we transfer the fees directly into your banking account.
When and to whom do i give my banking details ?
Banking details are ONLY requested when a campaign is booked with you and you must confirm them on the booking schedule which we will send to you before the campaign begins. Should you decide to change your banking details, please notify us when the next campaign is booked.
